Where Do I Take Photograph - iOS application

1. Data Collection

Where Do I Take Photograph does not collect any of your data. The app has no account, no remote backend, and no analytics. Everything you create stays on your device:

• Location data (latitude, longitude, timestamps): used only while a recording session you start is active, to trace your photographic route and anchor the spots where you stop to shoot. It is stored on-device and never transmitted to the developer or any third party.
• Photographs you choose to attach to a spot: stored as image files inside the app's private storage on your device.
• Session metadata: session title, duration, distance, notes, ratings, and the cross-references between spots and collections you build, all stored on-device.

The app does not transmit any of this information off your device. There is no telemetry, no crash-reporting service, and no usage tracking.

2. Local Storage

All user content - sessions, route points, spots, photographs, and collections - is stored locally on your device in an on-device SQLite database (via GRDB) and in private app file storage. None of this content is transmitted to a remote server.

The app has no remote backend for user-generated content.

3. Maps

The app uses Apple MapKit to render maps and your route on-device. Map tiles are handled by the operating system through Apple's standard MapKit framework. The app does not use any non-Apple mapping or static-map service, and it does not transmit your route or spot coordinates to a mapping service for rendering.

4. Permissions

The app requests the following permissions, only when needed:

• Location (When In Use): used only while a recording session you start is active, to draw your route and anchor your spots. Recording may continue when the screen locks or you switch apps mid-walk, so the GPS trail is not lost. Location data never leaves your device.
• Camera and Photo Library: used only for reference photos you choose to attach to a spot. The app accesses these only when you pick or capture a photo.

5. Third-Party Services and Tracking

The app uses no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising, and no tracking. There is no account and no remote backend. The only third-party software libraries bundled in the app (GRDB for on-device storage and ZIPFoundation for the backup archive) run entirely on-device and transmit nothing. The app does not sell, rent, or share user data with anyone, and collects no advertising identifier.

6. Your Data and Backup

You have full control over your data:

• Backup export: you can export a single .zip archive containing your sessions, route points, spots, photographs, and collections to a location you choose. This export is user-controlled; the app never uploads it automatically.
• Backup import: you can import that archive on the same or another device. The import is additive; existing data is preserved.
• Delete your data: uninstalling the app removes all on-device data via the operating system. There is no remote account to delete and no remote data to request.

7. Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. It does not require account creation, does not collect personal information (name, email, phone number), and contains no advertising.

8. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated when the app changes. The date below reflects the most recent revision.
